Restricted Areas Trekking:
Besides all major popular trekking or off-the-beaten adventurous treks, there are some areas. Listed as the restricted area of Nepal, like Upper Mustang, Manaslu Circuit, and Tsum Valley, Dolpo region.
These restricted areas have been opened for the last few decades like Upper Mustang and Manaslu in 1992. Tsum Valley from 2008 onwards where all these once forbidden countries have been well preserved, allowing limited numbers of visitors.
Apart from normal trip costs and services provided by respective trekking agencies where park and conservation fees are included.
For restricted areas solo or individual trekkers are not allowed, and must be accompanied by a government-authorized guide.
The entry fee for the Upper Mustang is US$ 500 per person, which is obtained through your trekking agents on booking. After ten days US$ 50 extra will be charged for the onward journey.
Lower Dolpo US$ 20 X 2 weeks = US$ 40 per person, including national park fees on top of the main trekking cost.
Upper Dolpo is US $ 500 for ten days, about US 570 per person for the whole trip of two weeks trek.
The upper Manaslu Circuit Trek permit costs US$ 70.00 for the first 7 days and US$ 10.00 for each additional day from September to November. Manaslu trek permit costs US$ 50.00 for the first 7 days and US$ 7.00 for each extra day from December to August.
